  Really great atmosphere! Hard to believe this restaurant is in DeKalb, very nice inside and something you'd expect in Naperville or Geneva.

  My family and I were so pleased when this restaurant opened. The owner is always a treat to talk to and very welcoming of diners. The food is fresh and you don't have to worry about leaving hungry. They have a weekly featured menu, which I think is nice addition to their fixed menu. The cocktail menu isn't overwhelming large (which sometimes can be intimidating, and then we'll forego drinks and stick with water), so it's nice to have a clear listing to choose from. The menu is diverse enough to suit any taste. Although, as a lactose-intolerant person, there were not any dairy-free options (small offerings like dairy-free butter and coffee creamer are little additions that make a big difference to lactose-intolerant diners). Our waitresses are always great with checking with the chef and kitchen staff to ensure the meal I've chosen is dairy-free. Note: When meeting people not from the area, make sure to give them some landmarks, as some of my friends had a difficult time finding the restaurant (it's set back off of the road in a small shopping area). Great restaurant for lunch or dinner, date-nights and family celebrations!

  THE best steak and fish restaurant around! We love the 1879 Lounge inside the restaurant too! Awesome drinks and $6 Small Plate Specials are the way we usually go but when we want a sit down wonderful meal with friends we eat in the restaurant part for an outstanding meal & service!
